Do you spend hours playing guitar but quit with frustration? Do you love listening to guitar? Do you idealise famous guitarists and want to be like them? If you really do, then you are exactly on the right place. New generation is a fonder of playing guitar due to the rapidly growing music industry. Famous guitarists like Brian may, Chuck Berry, David Gilmour, Les Paul, Jimi Hendrix etc have got a huge fan following. Guitar is in fact the easiest instrument to learn. Understanding of just few chords will make you eligible to play the most renowned music. Then a question that knocks in our mind is how to play a guitar?

Here are six easy tips for you to master in guitar playing:

1. Obviously, the first and foremost part is to buy a guitar. Go for a well-made guitar, available at any musical instrument's shop. The sound quality of the guitar should be decent. It is also a good idea to pick up any guitar and try to make tunes. You can find a good guitar ranging from $75 to $200. Many well-known companies make guitars for beginners as well as the experts.
2. Now when you have a guitar in your hand, learn the basic chords, also said to be ''open chords''. These include C, G, A, and D. Once you practise these open chords, you will be able to play many songs. Pop to rock n roll. For this you may consult a book or ask for guidance from someone knowing how to play a guitar. They will certainly guide you how to play the chords. Once you know them well, you have perfected your way towards guitar playing.
3. It is pretty good if you have an internet access. You can look for tablature of songs available on internet for thousands of songs. This may guide you how to hold your guitar and how to put your fingers on the chords, in order to play them. Books of tablature are also easily available in the market and you can buy them if there is no internet access.
4. Until now, you have perfection in your basics. The next stage is to learn ''barre chords'''. These actually include the shape of chords. Practice, by moving them up and down. For instance, the basic A and E chords are fingered the same way as the barre A and E chords, holding down the open chords with index finger while playing the barre chords. Practice a lot, through books or by playing while sitting vacant and you would soon recognize the chords. In the initial stages, your hand may sore and pain but your hands would soon get stronger.
5. Practice makes a man perfect. Practice on your desired tunes and it would make it more exciting to you. Turn on your TV and play guitar with the recorded songs so you may know better guitar techniques. Not a second of practice is a time waste; it will help you a lot.

6. Once you know all about guitar and the usage of chords go for finger picking. Many recent songs used this technique.  Some time may be required to know how to put the fingers but, after having online guitar lessons, you will be perfect!
I can bet on it that all the time you will give to guitar playing will be full of fun and you would not regret any moment!

Dressing for a party

Every time someone calls us for a party or invites us to his\her house the major question that hits our mind at the initial stage is
HOW TO DRESS UP FOR A PARTY?

Everyone wishes to look the best in terms of clothes, shoes, and accessories. Who doesn’t like compliments? Who doesn’t want the party eyes adoring him/her? So, to be alluring, following things need to be kept in mind:
One's dressing should match the party themes.
Party dresses should complement your personality and age.
                                                            • One should not be over accessorized.
Then comes the difference between men and women who should consider the following things:

MEN:
Casual Parties:
Casual parties include family dinner party, get togethers, kids birthday party, tea party etc.
One can wear any kind of pants that suits him, except sweats. Trousers, Dockers and faded jeans are all suitable for casual dress up. Casual shirts can be worn with slacks but Dockers and chinos are the top choices. Tee or polo shirts would go perfect with slacks. It should be assured that your belt colour code goes with your shoes. Wear socks that are of the same colour as your pants and avoid wearing white socks so that you may not become the centre of laughter. Loafers, rubber soled shoes and boots are a better choice.

Formal parties consist of cocktail party, engagement party, business party etc.
For formal parties; formal dresses, attractive coat colour, shirt, tie, cufflinks, socks and shoes make a complete man. A sober look should be adopted. Both dark & navy blue and black suites are preferable for formal party leitmotifs. Wear tuxedos in ceremonial engagement party. In semi formal attire leave the tux, go for a simple suit with noticeable tie and do not under dress.

Women should go for their favourite jeans, top and basic fashion accessories. With v-neck shirt, a pendant would go perfectly and enhance your neckline. Wearing mixed bangles makes the overall fantastic look. A nice pair of stud earrings with glowing gemstone would show off other accessories. If you're already wearing bangles and necklace then avoid the ring. Grab a suitable bag and set off.

All eyes on London for opening ceremony

LONDON: London began the final countdown Friday to the opening ceremony that will officially kick off its Olympic Games, with some 120 world leaders arriving in the British capital for the spectacle.

Organisers expect more than a billion people worldwide to watch the event on television, while tens of thousands will see the show live at the Olympic Stadium in east London.

The Olympic torch was making its way down the River Thames onboard the Gloriana, the royal barge of Queen Elizabeth II, on the last day of its 10-week journey around Britain.

In Westminster, Big Ben chimed for three minutes from 8:12 am (0712 GMT) to ring in the Games, 12 hours ahead of pre-ceremony entertainment scheduled to start at the symbolic time of 20:12 pm.

The huge bell at the British parliament was joined by hundreds of bell-ringers across the country in a cacophony of ringing to mark the beginning of the extravaganza.

Footballer David Beckham is expected to be among the final torchbearers carrying the Olympic torch as it finally arrives at the stadium for the opening ceremony.

The former England captain, who played a key part in London's original bid for the Games seven years ago, said the thought of the spectacle gave him "goosebumps".

"I have been lucky enough to have been involved in some amazing sporting moments in my career, but nothing can compare with what is about to take place in London," he wrote in The Sun newspaper.

"I know every part of the Games is going to be spectacular and tonight is the night it all kicks off, with the whole world watching Great Britain and the opening ceremony.

"It will be one of those moments people will always remember watching."
Sneak previews of the £27 million ($42 million, 35 million euros) opening ceremony -- filmed at Wednesday's final rehearsal -- suggest it will be a grand but quirky production, reflecting the philosophy of director Danny Boyle.

The Slumdog Millionaire Oscar-winner has promised to create a "picture of us as a nation" and revealed that the eccentric show will feature live sheep and dancing surgeons from the National Health Service.

Audience members at rehearsals for the ceremony have been full of praise for the show, but they have stayed tight-lipped about details.

The weather is expected to be dry for the ceremony after showers during the day in London.

Thousands of VIPs including some 120 national leaders are in town for the ceremony, with guests including Angelina Jolie, US First Lady Michelle Obama and the king of Swaziland.

The Games will see Britain launch its biggest-ever peacetime security operation, and British Prime Minister David Cameron stressed Thursday that safety would be his top priority.

"I think we've made as many preparations as we can. I think we have very good contingency plans in place," he told a press conference at the Olympic Park.

A force of more than 40,000 military and civilian personnel, backed by a huge intelligence operation, has turned the British capital into a fortress to protect venues, athletes and millions of visitors.

But security has been under the spotlight after the government was forced to deploy an extra 4,700 troops to guard the Games because of a recruitment shortfall at private contractor G4S.

23-hour load shedding in Landikotal disrupts life

LANDIKOTAL: The people of Landikotal reportedly experienced up to 23 hours of load shedding on Wednesday, which paralised life in the tribal region.

The locals said that the political administration and TESCO officials had failed to give any relief to them in Ramazan, despite their repeated demands from the government for the fair provision of power supply.

They claimed that the load shedding had created a serious shortage of potable water in the area and as a result women had to bring water from far off areas.

The residents lashed out at the administration for failing to convene any joint meetings of the TESCO and grid officials with the elders of the tribal areas in Landikotal to sort out the problem.

“The political administration can do a lot to control the situation by providing power generators to run tube wells in the Khyber area of Landikotal or set up solar system for this purpose, but there is a lack of the will on the part of the officials of local administration,” Jan Gul Zakha Khel, a local, observed.

“The big recovery and huge funds from the checkposts in Khyber Agency had never been utilised for public service or to resolve any genuine problem of the tribesmen. Instead the illicit money goes into the personal accounts of the local officials,” he added.

“TESCO officials provide power to ice and steel factories in Shakas area of Jamrud and make illegal money, this has multiplied load shedding in Jamrud and Landikotal,” local resident Bakht Jam Afridi informed, saying the government must hold TESCO officials accountable.

Afridi regretted the silence of the people over the excessive load shedding issue in the tribal regions. He said this had encouraged the officials of various departments to carry on exploitation of the people.

“There is an unusual crowd of tribal women at every tube well in the area, when electricity comes back, even if it is for a few moments,” one Jamal Sher observed, saying it was against basic human rights on the part of the government.

“Scheduled load shedding is better, but there is a complete breakdown of power in Landikotal and other tribal regions, which is greatly deplorable,” he concluded.

Fruit Ninja

All Ninjas Hate Fruit

“All Ninjas hate fruit. Swipe them with your finger to end their journey.” With those introductory words from Halfbrick Studios, I knew that Fruit Ninja was everything I expected, feared, and hoped it would be. Refreshingly simple and oddly addictive, Fruit Ninja is a bargain at $.99 and a must-have for every iPhone and iPod Touch gamer. Who knew avenging yourself against produce could be so much fun?

In Fruit Ninja, you get to slice a diverse array of delicious fruit flying across your screen. This is no cooking game. This is a Kill Bill-style pulpy fruit massacre. Simply slide your finger across a fruit mid-flight and HI-YA! Fruit slices and a juicy splatter indicate that your fruit foe has been vanquished. While the graphics are fairly cartoony 3-D renderings, they're fun and fit with the overall feel of the game.

The game has two modes. In classic mode, you slice everything from coconuts to kiwis to watermelon while avoiding sizzling bombs. Combinations of fruit in one fell slash can bag you extra points. Watch out, though. You only have 3 lives, and once you let three uncut fruit drop off the screen, the game is over. In zen mode, there are no bombs and no penalties for dropping uncut fruit: you can just concentrate on slicing major fruit combos with samurai steel. Both modes allow you to post high scores on OpenFeint, a popular gaming network.

With beautifully rendered graphics, some pretty sweet sword options, and innovatively simple gameplay, Fruit Ninja is a great game for all ages and all types of users.

Now stop bothering me,I have some fruit to cut !!
