Do you spend hours playing guitar but quit with frustration? Do you love listening to guitar? Do you idealise famous guitarists and want to be like them? If you really do, then you are exactly on the right place. New generation is a fonder of playing guitar due to the rapidly growing music industry. Famous guitarists like Brian may, Chuck Berry, David Gilmour, Les Paul, Jimi Hendrix etc have got a huge fan following. Guitar is in fact the easiest instrument to learn. Understanding of just few chords will make you eligible to play the most renowned music. Then a question that knocks in our mind is how to play a guitar?

Here are six easy tips for you to master in guitar playing:

1. Obviously, the first and foremost part is to buy a guitar. Go for a well-made guitar, available at any musical instrument's shop. The sound quality of the guitar should be decent. It is also a good idea to pick up any guitar and try to make tunes. You can find a good guitar ranging from $75 to $200. Many well-known companies make guitars for beginners as well as the experts.
2. Now when you have a guitar in your hand, learn the basic chords, also said to be ''open chords''. These include C, G, A, and D. Once you practise these open chords, you will be able to play many songs. Pop to rock n roll. For this you may consult a book or ask for guidance from someone knowing how to play a guitar. They will certainly guide you how to play the chords. Once you know them well, you have perfected your way towards guitar playing.
3. It is pretty good if you have an internet access. You can look for tablature of songs available on internet for thousands of songs. This may guide you how to hold your guitar and how to put your fingers on the chords, in order to play them. Books of tablature are also easily available in the market and you can buy them if there is no internet access.
4. Until now, you have perfection in your basics. The next stage is to learn ''barre chords'''. These actually include the shape of chords. Practice, by moving them up and down. For instance, the basic A and E chords are fingered the same way as the barre A and E chords, holding down the open chords with index finger while playing the barre chords. Practice a lot, through books or by playing while sitting vacant and you would soon recognize the chords. In the initial stages, your hand may sore and pain but your hands would soon get stronger.
5. Practice makes a man perfect. Practice on your desired tunes and it would make it more exciting to you. Turn on your TV and play guitar with the recorded songs so you may know better guitar techniques. Not a second of practice is a time waste; it will help you a lot.

6. Once you know all about guitar and the usage of chords go for finger picking. Many recent songs used this technique.  Some time may be required to know how to put the fingers but, after having online guitar lessons, you will be perfect!
I can bet on it that all the time you will give to guitar playing will be full of fun and you would not regret any moment!

Dressing for a party

Every time someone calls us for a party or invites us to his\her house the major question that hits our mind at the initial stage is
HOW TO DRESS UP FOR A PARTY?

Everyone wishes to look the best in terms of clothes, shoes, and accessories. Who doesn’t like compliments? Who doesn’t want the party eyes adoring him/her? So, to be alluring, following things need to be kept in mind:
One's dressing should match the party themes.
Party dresses should complement your personality and age.
                                                            • One should not be over accessorized.
Then comes the difference between men and women who should consider the following things:

MEN:
Casual Parties:
Casual parties include family dinner party, get togethers, kids birthday party, tea party etc.
One can wear any kind of pants that suits him, except sweats. Trousers, Dockers and faded jeans are all suitable for casual dress up. Casual shirts can be worn with slacks but Dockers and chinos are the top choices. Tee or polo shirts would go perfect with slacks. It should be assured that your belt colour code goes with your shoes. Wear socks that are of the same colour as your pants and avoid wearing white socks so that you may not become the centre of laughter. Loafers, rubber soled shoes and boots are a better choice.

Formal Parties:

Formal parties consist of cocktail party, engagement party, business party etc.
For formal parties; formal dresses, attractive coat colour, shirt, tie, cufflinks, socks and shoes make a complete man. A sober look should be adopted. Both dark & navy blue and black suites are preferable for formal party leitmotifs. Wear tuxedos in ceremonial engagement party. In semi formal attire leave the tux, go for a simple suit with noticeable tie and do not under dress.

WOMEN:
Casual Parties:

Women should go for their favourite jeans, top and basic fashion accessories. With v-neck shirt, a pendant would go perfectly and enhance your neckline. Wearing mixed bangles makes the overall fantastic look. A nice pair of stud earrings with glowing gemstone would show off other accessories. If you're already wearing bangles and necklace then avoid the ring. Grab a suitable bag and set off.

Formal Parties:

For an enhanced feminine look, women may consult party dressing experts. Little black dress, one shoulder dress, split lace dress, sleeveless dress are all formal party dresses. Long gowns are considered a great choice on engagement party. A jewelled brooch sparkles on the dress. Long classy earrings matching the dress and a formal hand clutch would add more glamour. A bib-style necklace would highlight your décolletage.

All eyes on London for opening ceremony

LONDON: London began the final countdown Friday to the opening ceremony that will officially kick off its Olympic Games, with some 120 world leaders arriving in the British capital for the spectacle.

Organisers expect more than a billion people worldwide to watch the event on television, while tens of thousands will see the show live at the Olympic Stadium in east London.

The Olympic torch was making its way down the River Thames onboard the Gloriana, the royal barge of Queen Elizabeth II, on the last day of its 10-week journey around Britain.

In Westminster, Big Ben chimed for three minutes from 8:12 am (0712 GMT) to ring in the Games, 12 hours ahead of pre-ceremony entertainment scheduled to start at the symbolic time of 20:12 pm.

The huge bell at the British parliament was joined by hundreds of bell-ringers across the country in a cacophony of ringing to mark the beginning of the extravaganza.

Footballer David Beckham is expected to be among the final torchbearers carrying the Olympic torch as it finally arrives at the stadium for the opening ceremony.

The former England captain, who played a key part in London's original bid for the Games seven years ago, said the thought of the spectacle gave him "goosebumps".

"I have been lucky enough to have been involved in some amazing sporting moments in my career, but nothing can compare with what is about to take place in London," he wrote in The Sun newspaper.

"I know every part of the Games is going to be spectacular and tonight is the night it all kicks off, with the whole world watching Great Britain and the opening ceremony.

"It will be one of those moments people will always remember watching."
Sneak previews of the £27 million ($42 million, 35 million euros) opening ceremony -- filmed at Wednesday's final rehearsal -- suggest it will be a grand but quirky production, reflecting the philosophy of director Danny Boyle.

The Slumdog Millionaire Oscar-winner has promised to create a "picture of us as a nation" and revealed that the eccentric show will feature live sheep and dancing surgeons from the National Health Service.

Audience members at rehearsals for the ceremony have been full of praise for the show, but they have stayed tight-lipped about details.

The weather is expected to be dry for the ceremony after showers during the day in London.

Thousands of VIPs including some 120 national leaders are in town for the ceremony, with guests including Angelina Jolie, US First Lady Michelle Obama and the king of Swaziland.

The Games will see Britain launch its biggest-ever peacetime security operation, and British Prime Minister David Cameron stressed Thursday that safety would be his top priority.

"I think we've made as many preparations as we can. I think we have very good contingency plans in place," he told a press conference at the Olympic Park.

A force of more than 40,000 military and civilian personnel, backed by a huge intelligence operation, has turned the British capital into a fortress to protect venues, athletes and millions of visitors.

But security has been under the spotlight after the government was forced to deploy an extra 4,700 troops to guard the Games because of a recruitment shortfall at private contractor G4S.

23-hour load shedding in Landikotal disrupts life

LANDIKOTAL: The people of Landikotal reportedly experienced up to 23 hours of load shedding on Wednesday, which paralised life in the tribal region.

The locals said that the political administration and TESCO officials had failed to give any relief to them in Ramazan, despite their repeated demands from the government for the fair provision of power supply.

They claimed that the load shedding had created a serious shortage of potable water in the area and as a result women had to bring water from far off areas.

The residents lashed out at the administration for failing to convene any joint meetings of the TESCO and grid officials with the elders of the tribal areas in Landikotal to sort out the problem.

“The political administration can do a lot to control the situation by providing power generators to run tube wells in the Khyber area of Landikotal or set up solar system for this purpose, but there is a lack of the will on the part of the officials of local administration,” Jan Gul Zakha Khel, a local, observed.

“The big recovery and huge funds from the checkposts in Khyber Agency had never been utilised for public service or to resolve any genuine problem of the tribesmen. Instead the illicit money goes into the personal accounts of the local officials,” he added.

“TESCO officials provide power to ice and steel factories in Shakas area of Jamrud and make illegal money, this has multiplied load shedding in Jamrud and Landikotal,” local resident Bakht Jam Afridi informed, saying the government must hold TESCO officials accountable.

Afridi regretted the silence of the people over the excessive load shedding issue in the tribal regions. He said this had encouraged the officials of various departments to carry on exploitation of the people.

“There is an unusual crowd of tribal women at every tube well in the area, when electricity comes back, even if it is for a few moments,” one Jamal Sher observed, saying it was against basic human rights on the part of the government.

“Scheduled load shedding is better, but there is a complete breakdown of power in Landikotal and other tribal regions, which is greatly deplorable,” he concluded.

Fruit Ninja

All Ninjas Hate Fruit

“All Ninjas hate fruit. Swipe them with your finger to end their journey.” With those introductory words from Halfbrick Studios, I knew that Fruit Ninja was everything I expected, feared, and hoped it would be. Refreshingly simple and oddly addictive, Fruit Ninja is a bargain at $.99 and a must-have for every iPhone and iPod Touch gamer. Who knew avenging yourself against produce could be so much fun?

In Fruit Ninja, you get to slice a diverse array of delicious fruit flying across your screen. This is no cooking game. This is a Kill Bill-style pulpy fruit massacre. Simply slide your finger across a fruit mid-flight and HI-YA! Fruit slices and a juicy splatter indicate that your fruit foe has been vanquished. While the graphics are fairly cartoony 3-D renderings, they're fun and fit with the overall feel of the game.

The game has two modes. In classic mode, you slice everything from coconuts to kiwis to watermelon while avoiding sizzling bombs. Combinations of fruit in one fell slash can bag you extra points. Watch out, though. You only have 3 lives, and once you let three uncut fruit drop off the screen, the game is over. In zen mode, there are no bombs and no penalties for dropping uncut fruit: you can just concentrate on slicing major fruit combos with samurai steel. Both modes allow you to post high scores on OpenFeint, a popular gaming network.

With beautifully rendered graphics, some pretty sweet sword options, and innovatively simple gameplay, Fruit Ninja is a great game for all ages and all types of users.

Now stop bothering me,I have some fruit to cut !!

Sub Way Surfer

What better reason to run forever than the threat of jail time?

Having never possessed the stamina required to complete a marathon, I feel a resentment of sorts towards endless runner games. How come the hero in Temple Run can run as far as he likes – skill of player permitting – and I can barely run two miles? And don't tell me exercise, because that clearly isn't what gives the characters of Subway Surfers an advantage. No, they have access to jetpacks and hoverboards. Not fair.
Not unlike my day-to-day life, the goal of Subway Surfers is to evade the cops at all costs. This means dodging trains, jumping hurdles, and taking advantage of power-ups like the previously mentioned hoverboard. It's as though the developers read my diary and decided to make a game out of it.

The controls aren't unlike what you find in most endless runners: Swipe left and right to switch lanes, up to jump, and down to tuck and roll. If you've any power-ups or items in your arsenal, a double-tap will activate them. It's a very streamlined control scheme, which compliments the reaction-heavy style of gameplay. That said, I still occasionally leap to the left when I clearly should have leaped to the right.
Being that it's a 3D endless runner, there are plenty of comparisons to be made to Temple Run. That said, the developers of Subway Surfers avoided turning it into anything close to a carbon copy. Having seen many a clone arrive and get promptly removed from the App Store, the distinctions are plenty appreciated. For starters, there's no sort of tilt mechanic for gathering coins. On top of that, there are no corners you have to turn, making it easier to plan moves ahead of time. This results in the game being a bit easier, which, depending on who you are, may or may not be a good thing.
The power-ups in Subway Surfers add a level of variety to the gameplay. There's a magnet that attracts any and all coins you're near, boots that increase your speed, a jetpack that places you above all the obstacles, and more. You can earn them by playing the game, but the option to purchase and upgrade them via in-game store also exists. You can get quite a bit of currency for just $0.99, but the game is good about giving you a decent amount from just playing.

Similar to Jetpack Joyride and many others, Subway Surfers offers a collection of missions that add objectives outside of just “run as far as you can.” One, for example, requires you to tuck and roll 30 times total while playing. And in an effort to stoke that just-one-more-time appeal of endless runners, there are “daily challenges” that must be completed in the span of – you guessed it – a day.
It didn't happen all too often, but an occasional dip in framerate led me to an untimely crash into the back of a train. It's the kind of thing you can brush off in most games, but it can take a serious toll on games like Subway Surfer that demand fast reaction times.
It makes little attempt to stand out from other endless runners, but it's hard not to appreciate the polish of Subway Surfers. The controls are responsive, the gameplay is addictive, and it doesn't try and force you into spending cash on in-game items. It understands what people love about the genre, and it provides just about everything one could ask for.

The Sun ready to face lawsuit

LONDON: Reacting to Pakistan's decision to take legal action against 'The Sun', the British newspaper has said that it would stick to its claims about a Pakistani scam involving issuance of visas for London Olympics in exchange for one million rupees ($10,000).

The newspaper maintained it was in possession of solid evidence to support the claims it made in its investigative report published recently and that it would face the lawsuit if filed against it by Pakistan.

It said there was a threat of terrorists entering the UK, so the newspaper decided to carry the said report in the citizens' interest.

Pakistan's Federal Cabinet that met here today with Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in the chair decided to take legal action against British newspaper ‘The Sun’.

"The cabinet ordered the NADRA (the National Database Registration Authority) to file a defamation suit (against the paper) after consulting the law ministry," the Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira told reporters after the Cabinet meeting.

The Sun tabloid said it had busted a racket involving a politician in Lahore that could have given access to the London Games as part of the Pakistani contingent in return for one million rupees ($10,000).

The Sun said its undercover reporter was offered the chance to go to the Olympics posing as an official member of the Pakistani contingent on a two-month visa.

Pakistan's Olympic chef de mission Aqil Shah also dismissed the Sun's claims earlier this week.

Pakistan's 39-strong delegation -- minus Shah -- is already in London and consists of 23 athletes and 16 officials.

British tabloid’s ‘passport scam’ report fake, Nadra investigation reveals

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s federal cabinet, on Wednesday, decided to take legal action against a British tabloid for publishing a fabricated report on Pakistan’s passport-issuing authority.
The cabinet announced its decision to sue UK-based tabloid “The Sun” for a story published in the paper on Monday, July 23, which alleged that a group of travel agents and a politician were involved in a scam, which allowed anyone to travel with the Pakistani Olympic contingent as support staff if they pay a certain amount of money.
However, an investigation conducted by Pakistan’s National Database Registration Authority (Nadra) dismissed The Sun’s claims and called its report a “fake scam.”
“There was no fraud or illegal activity done while obtaining the ID cards and passport of “the Sun Man” Mohammad Ali Asad,” a Nadra statement said.
According to the tabloid’s report, their “man” was able to get a fake passport issued in his name by bribing officials at Nadra.
Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira said “dirty propaganda was unleashed against Pakistan”. “The cabinet ordered the Nadra to file a defamation suit (against the paper) after consulting the law ministry,” Kaira told reporters.
He also took a swipe at the paper, Britain’s biggest-selling daily, saying it “does not have a good reputation”.
The passport-issuing authority, however, said: “Documentary and video evidence proves that Mohammad Ali Asad was himself present for the renewal of his expired CNIC. Asad was picked by “The Sun” as undercover, who travelled to Pakistan on July 8. He went to Nadra office, Baghbanpura to get his photo updated against his own CNIC on July 10 rather than getting someone else identity as claimed by “The Sun” story. His CNIC was updated after matching with his previous record held in database. After getting his CNIC modified, he processed for his MRP (machine readable passport) on July 13, which was delivered to him on July 18. Since the same person applied to renew his own ID card and for provision of a passport, nothing illegal was done.”
Following the Nadra investigation, a cabinet meeting, headed by Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, discussed the details and decided to pursue legal action.
Director General (DG) of Immigration and Passport and Chairman National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) gave a detailed briefing to the cabinet, revealing details of the investigative report.
The cabinet stated that the scandal was a conspiracy of the British tabloid, which has been foiled to malign Pakistan’s image.
Meanwhile, a magistrate of a local court on Wednesday handed over four detained Nadra officials to the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) on a three-day remand.

US drone strike kills 11 in NWA

MIRANSHAH: A US drone attack on Monday killed 11 people in a restive northwestern Pakistani tribal area, security officials said.

The pilotless plane fired eight missiles on a compound in the Shawal area of the troubled North Waziristan tribal district on the Afghan border.

Eleven bodies have been recovered from the rubble while the death toll is likely to rise.

The compound in Shawal district is 50 kilometres (30 miles) southwest of Miranshah, the main town of North Waziristan tribal district, near the Afghan border.

Following the attack, more than five US drones kept flaying over the area, hampering the rescue work.

Washington considers Pakistan's semi-autonomous northwestern tribal belt the main hub of Taliban and Al-Qaeda militants plotting attacks on the West and in Afghanistan.

In a similar attack at the start of July, six militants were also killed and an attack on June 4 killed 15 militants, including senior Al-Qaeda figure Abu Yahya al-Libi.

There has been a dramatic increase in US drone strikes in Pakistan since May when a NATO summit in Chicago could not strike a deal to end a six-month blockade on NATO supplies crossing into Afghanistan.

On July 3 however, Islamabad agreed to end the blockade after the United States said sorry for the deaths of 24 Pakistani soldiers in botched air strikes last November.

LAHORE: The joint investigation team of the FIA and NADRA after registering an FIR Tuesday launched a crackdown against those involved in the Olympic visa scandal and arrested six accused including five women here.

Elder Scrolls V Skyrim : Review ( Xbox 360 )

Since the mid 90s, when the first elder scrolls game ( Elder Scrolls:arena ) came out, the elder scrolls series has been known for offering the player with massive and interesting worlds filled with worthwhile things to do. The elder scrolls games are also known for the freedom they offer to the player. The player can ignore the main quest indefinitely and explore the world at will. The new iteration in the series is, you'll be glad to know, the best one so far.
The Sixth game in the franchise is set in the province of Skyrim, home to the Nords. Skyrim is host to a civil war at the time with the empire fighting with the rebels who call themselves Stormcloaks. And also something is causing the resurrection of dragons all over Skyrim. The ( entirely customisable ) protagonist is discovered to be Dragonborn, the only one who can put an end to the dragons.
The main story is well and good but it's some of the side quests which can define the pinnacle of your experience with Skyrim because of their random nature and often deep story.
Coming to the visuals the game also looks great. Even though some of the textures are rough but you'll easily ignore them because of how the game world looks as a whole. Skyrim's snowcapped mountains feel grand and beautiful,it's pastures are refreshing to look at, it's rivers greatly add to the beauty and it's towns feel alive with a personality of their own. Character models are also an improvement over the previous games but still are far from perfect. There are some bugs but only a few of them are annoying while the rest feel rather amusing. All in all Skyrim looks great and feels very much alive with NPCs going on with their lives and often having interesting quests to give.
Coming to how the game plays one can easily see the improvements Skyrim has made over its predecessors. Skyrim introduces dual wielding in both melee weapons as well as magic. Dual wielding proves to be not only a gimmick but also adds another layer of depth to the game. The dragon fights feel exhilarating and thrilling because of their surprising nature. Other than that the new additions to the combat include the spurting out of blood when an enemy is hit by an arrow or a melee weapon. Skyrim also introduces executions which are randomly triggered on the last enemy in the area if you are using melee weapons. The execution is basically an animation shows the protagonist killing the enemy in a brutal fashion. Although you have no control over them executions are satisfying and make combat more entertaining. These little but important improvements make Skyrim's combat more entertaining although it still really is far from perfect if compared to other RPGs. The inventory system is certainly better than Oblivion's but can feel clunky at times.
Levelling up in Skyrim is also hugely different from other elder scrolls games. Instead of categories like Bare handed all the stats have been simplified and divided into fewer categories, one handed and block to name a few. This time there is no "class" system instead the character can be independently developed but its also to be noted that races do offer certain benefits and the player should choose wisely. This time levelling up also doesn't require sleeping as the player can level up on the spot.Unlike previous games levelling up in Skyrim grants the player the ability to increase his health, stamina or mana and a perk point which is used to purchase abilities like a shield bash.
The Verdict
Skyrim offers a truly unique world filled with lovely characters and great sights. You will love it if you like RPGs and fantasy. Even if you don't and you just want a game that can keep you invested for hundreds of hours and yet still feel fresh you'll definitely like Skyrim. However if you are the kind of gamer who doesn't have much free time on his hands I'd suggest that you don't get Skyrim as it could have a negative effect in your routine and you might not be able to get the most out of it.
